Frederic’s Articles of Indenture were prepared as a prop for the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company’s 1998 production of The Pirates of Penzance and were used again in the company’s 2011 production.  Importantly, the text includes the phrase that Frederic will remain indentured until his “twenty first birthday.”

Let me tell you who they are.

they are all noblemen
who have gone wrong.”
