The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company 40th Anniversary Cabaret
June 28, 29, 30, 2019
The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company was founded June 1979 and the company’s third cabaret was held in June 2019 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of this wonderful event!
The cabaret included three performances on the weekend of Friday, June 28th, Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th and was held at Honey, in northeast Minneapolis
The company’s anniversary was celebrated with the program featuring a wide selection of Gilbert and Sullivan’s songs from the beginning to the end of their careers together, from Trial by Jury through The Grand Duke and noted the company’s productions of each of the works through its history.
Many members of the audiences expressed their enthusiastic appreciation for the evening’s cabaret performances, but also for the company itself and for its long history of producing the works of Gilbert and Sullivan over the years so very well.
All three cabaret performances ended with a celebratory anniversary cake shared with the audience in attendance!
