Warren Loud, who was at the time, the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company’s senior member, shared with his fellow performers that this concert presentation of Ruddigore was the fiftieth anniversary of his first Gilbert and Sullivan performance at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. That performance took place in 1954 with another Gilbert and Sullivan group, twenty-five years before the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company was founded.
